I’m Maggid Joey Netzorg, although you might already know me as the Punk Maggid. I tell stories everywhere from the synagogue to the street corner. I also lead the most irreverent Torah study you’ve ever seen, and I spend more than a little time thinking what Judaism means to outcasts and exiles — the galutim.

I received s’micha (ordination) as a maggid in January 2012 from Rabbi David Zaslow and Maggidah Deborah Gordon Zaslow, who themselves received s’micha from the beloved rebbe of Renewal Judaism, Rabbi Zalman Schacter-Shalomi.
